Select a ball of suitable hardness and place it on the point of the body which requires massaged. For the lower back or glutes start in a sitting position or for calfs or thighs try either sitting or lying on the floor and gently roll the ball around. For shoulder and high back areas place the ball between your back and a wall. For the neck roll the ball around between your neck and open palm.
Combine the exercise with a foam roller for terrific results.
